What does good music do for you? Well for me good music does wonders. It turns a frown into a smile, turns a mountain to an anthill, mends a broken heart, gives hope to a hopeless situation and much more. If the music is well composed, recorded and mastered it will end up as the ringtone and/or that song always on replay on your gadgets. I realized I get to even love a song more if I can relate to it. With that said, I refuse to comment about ’5 o clock in the morning’ I know I have over tweeted about it in the recent past,it is the only song that plays while I am driving around, my ringtone too … i blame my small sister for making me hooked to it. It is however getting kicked off by a track i got to listen to and is getting released inMarch 2012. Songs that I can fully relate to take me to clouds ….. ‘Moving on swiftly’
Mimmo is a fast, talented rising act in Kenya. She is an independent recording/performing artiste/songwriter based in Nairobi Kenya. She blends her music by mixing the local Kenyan Boomba sound, hiphop and R&B. She has worked with renowned music producers like Eric Musyoka of Decimal Records, Lucas of Ogopa Deejayz, Freddy of Homeboyz, Ulopa of Ulopa Ngoma just to mention a few. She won the Boomba female artist award in 2008 during the Kisima music awards because of her hit track Best friend featuring COLLO, King wa RAP produced by Ogopa Deejays. The fact that she has won an award shows how great and talented she is and that she settles for nothing below perfection in what she does. She has worked with P UNIT in Kare produced by Eric Musyoka and i am sure you will all agree that song was karee for sure. She has also worked with other artists such as Gkon (Mapenzi), Lady Bee/Shinde/Ray C (Mrembo remix) She also has her own singles which are doing equally well. She has worked singles such as Muciari (Kikuyu for Parent), Morning after just to mention but a few. Mimmo has a new track ‘Nakupenda’ produced by Rkay.

She is an icon and source of inspiration to many young upcoming artists.
